Browne Family Vineyards wines represent the best of the Columbia Valley AVA. Every decision made — from vineyard to bottle — reflects a commitment to uncompromising quality. The Browne family wanted a convenient way to enjoy their ultra-premium wine on the go without the weight or encumbrance of bottles or the hassle of corkscrews and glass. With the explosive growth of the canned wine category, we decided that cans would be the perfect vessel for this project. Since cans are not associated with luxury products, the design had to break the mold.
The final package conveys the same exquisite attention to detail and craftsmanship that went into the wine inside. I used subtle differences in transparency to create a delicate texture and luminosity to the brand’s iconic herringbone pattern, providing stark contrast to the shining copper monogram. The soft matte finish provides an enhanced tactile experience, and begs to be picked up and enjoyed.
